Childhood Apraxia of Speech

July 10, 2016

I recently came across a flyer for a wonderful walk to raise funds and spread awareness for Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).  CAS is a motor speech disorder that results from difficulty with the planning and coordination of  the speech musculature (e.g., lips, tongue, jaw). It is not a result from weakened or paralyzed muscles, but rather difficulty with the signal from the brain that coordinates muscle movements in order to say sounds, syllables, and words. Please click on the image below to learn more about this walk. Create a team, join a team or donate for a great cause!
